Mares LED Tank Module
The Mares LED Tank Module is a convenient and reliable device that allows divers to transmit tank pressure directly to their Mares dive computer. With its colour-coded LED indicator, divers can quickly estimate the gas level in their cylinder.
The LED Tank Module is easily mounted on the first stage of the regulator, specifically on one of the high-pressure outlets (7/16"), and can be swiftly paired with the dive computer. Once connected, the LED Tank Module serves as both a pressure gauge and a transmitter of tank information. On the surface, the LED Tank Module uses a colour-coded LED to provide an immediate visual indication of the gas pressure.
The flashing LED uses three colours: green indicates a pressure above 180 bar, yellow signifies a pressure at 100 bar, and red indicates a pressure below 50 bar. This allows divers to assess their tank status at a glance and communicate it to their buddy during the dive.
By utilizing the LED Tank Module, the dive computer can accurately calculate and display the real gas consumption in liters, optimizing bottom time based on the available decompression gas supply. This feature enhances safety and helps divers manage their air consumption more efficiently.
To prevent excessive battery consumption from continuous flashing, the LED Tank Module deactivates the flashing function if there is no pressure change of more than 1 bar for more than 4 minutes, conserving battery life. The LED Tank Module operates on a CR123A battery, which is user-replaceable. With this battery, the module can support approximately 150 to 200 dives, taking into account various operating temperatures.
The main features of the LED Tank Module pressure transmitter include the transmission of tank information, a color-coded LED for quick tank checks on the surface, a color-coded LED to signal low air situations to dive buddies during the dive, computer/probe pairing capability, EN250:2014 certification for pressures up to 300 bar, and a user-replaceable CR123A battery.
The LED Tank Module is compatible with Mares dive computers such as the Genius, Smart Air, Quad Air, and Icon HD Net Ready models, providing seamless integration and enhancing the diving experience.
